Below you will find additional information you might find interesting regarding Joelma Lima's Career and Coaching profession:
My journey started in 1998 by looking into different ways of developing myself and I got in touch with practices like Zen meditation. I have done studies such as traditional Chinese Medicine and mindfulness.
I discovered my passion for Coaching in 2006 while I was working as an IT engineer for Verizon where I was asked to join an internal mentoring program, coaching my colleagues across the world.
I was so fascinated by the work as a corporate coach that I decided to change my career and I became a Certified Life Skills Coach. I started my own practice in Amsterdam giving one-to-one life coaching and worked at Humanitas a Dutch organization based in Amsterdam coaching a team of 12 coaches. I’m now preparing to become a Biodynamic Psychotherapist.
I have a profound appreciation of the oneness of a person’s body/mind/spirit and have developed a unique and effective coaching method that addresses body and mind as one.
The essence of my method is the combination of the studies that I have done on alternative medicine, coaching, psychology, human behavior, and my many years of coaching and interaction with people from different cultures and background and the practices of mindfulness.
I use techniques that increase the awareness of the mind-body connection. Allowing my coachees to have a deeper insight into their heart, particular needs and desires but also what might be impairing from making a move, taking decisions and following their dreams.
My great passion is to help people to find their path and develop themselves in all areas of their lives and to settle their goals by getting in touch with their inner-self and discover their true identity and desires.
As a life coach, I have supported people through difficult times in their lives. Think of heartbreak, divorce, loss and grief, depression, burnout, physical or sexual issues but also people that wanted to change their lifestyle or career and work on their personal and professional development.
Together we are going to approach interesting topics, which are going to make you reflect and broaden your vision. I’d like to challenge you to think outside of the box and find the answers you’ve being looking for but I also can support you through difficult times in your life.
The best way to set our goals starts by knowing what we want to achieve and why. There are several factors that might prevent us from getting a crystal clear vision of what we really want in our lives; the lack of balance between work and life; dealing with an emotional and stressful situation ; we lost track of our essence, what we like and who we are; uncovering what’s holding us back from achieving our goals.
Offering support and encouragement while suggesting different ways to achieve our goals, may be fundamental to mapping out the future we want to live, getting from where we are now, to where we want to go.
