Dr Ariana Jordan

"Success with Support"

Dr Ariana Jordan began her career as a professional dancer, actress, choreographer and artistic director, spanning twenty years. During this time she discovered dance therapy and body and movement psychology, and became fascinated with the way aspects of our personalities, in terms of strengths, expectations, goals, as well as limitations, are presented in the way we speak, move and use gesture. This fascination developed into twelve years of psychological study, and after gaining a Professional Doctorate, Ariana opened her private practice, working with a wide range of clients, each with their own personal and professional goals. When her first corporate client approached her for support with public speaking, Ariana realised how valuable her knowledge and experience was to the corporate world, and so she expanded her practice to work with individuals and organisations, both in the UK and abroad, helping corporate clients understand the way they present themselves to the world and supporting them in achieving long-lasting change.

We worked on the unhelpful thought patterns…”

Drawing upon her experience and background, Ariana is a particularly gifted and engaging public speaker and enjoys sharing these skills with her clients. By helping clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and limiting beliefs, her clients gain more control over everyday exchanges and achieve aspirational goals. Most importantly, “Clients are enabled to achieve congruence between the face they present to the world and the personal values that they hold dear”.

THEMETHOD

"An area of interest for me is in the reciprocal relationship between our bodies, our minds and our emotions, or body psychology - in particular, the way our movement, gestures and ways of speaking, including the words we use, not only influence our feelings, but also reveal our histories and current mind frame."

HAPPYCLIENTS

"I reached the highest echelons in my profession, was feeling constantly pressured, anxious and unable to 'switch off', even at home. I was able to not only improve my performance at work but additionally, make great changes in my personal life"

An Interview with me

ETIMY: “How would you like to be perceived by your clients?”

Dr Jordan: “I am warm, intuitive and engaging and develop strong, long-lasting, trusting professional relationships with my clients.”

ETIMY: “What makes you good at what you do?”

Dr Jordan: “My fine-tuned sense of intuition and willingness to respectfully challenge limiting beliefs where I see them obstructing client progress.”

ETIMY: “What’s really fun to do in your job as a Career Coach?”

Dr Jordan: “I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and watching them discover the power and enrichment of living life as your true self.”

Experience

As a highly experienced Psychologist and Coach with a nineteen year track record, Dr. Jordan explains “I enjoy working with clients to create the ‘space’ needed to explore the values that are personal to them and to equip them with the tools to ensure that personal and professional productivity, effectiveness and fulfilment remain key in their lives.”

Methods

“In addition to body psychology, I draw upon various psychological theories to best meet client need. A particularly challenging period of our lives is when our careers are often at their peak. With heightened responsibility, we can often find ourselves sandwiched between increasing work and family demands, giving little room for the challenges that life can create.”

My thoughts

“Clients come to me to explore underlying obstacles that may be preventing them from achieving true fulfilment, not only in their business life but also their personal lives, for the two are intertwined.

Your future

“By identifying and exploring how we carry ourselves and the ‘verbal and movement package’ we present to the world, we are able to take more control of the impression we make on others, and more importantly, the way we feel about ourselves. By having a clearer understanding of ourselves, the confidence gained provides abundant opportunity for growth and success.”
