Suzanne Lång has an impressive international career spanning 8 countries and 3 continents. She has accumulated over 25 years of experience in global corporations such as Scandic, Samsung, Lotte, DFDS and Copenhagen Airports. Her wide experience of various company cultures, leadership styles and her own roles has culminated in her focusing on leadership development both for individuals as well as teams.

Suzanne has held diverse leadership roles from Sales and PR Manager, through to Operations Manager and has run her own Coaching business since 2012.

THEMETHOD

Suzanne explains, "As real change takes time, one of the programs I work with is a leader development program over a period of 8 – 10 months called Vägen Upp® (The Way Up). The program is relevant to both leaders with many years of experience and those who are relatively new in their leadership role." 

The Vägen Upp® Coaching programme combines individual coaching with theory. The main focus is on relevant challenges within the organisation, the leadership skills and effectively helps individuals develop with lasting results.

Suzanne’s coaching method is grounded in three fundamental principles and explains in simple terms how people create their experience in life and how our perception of the external world changes as our state of mind changes.

This understanding has a tremendous effect on our productivity, creativity and resilience, the ability to quickly recover after having encountered any kind of setback.

Suzanne also specialises in JobMatch Talent which is an occupational psychological test developed in Scandinavia during the past 19 years to provide a scientific basis when assessing individual awareness of strengths to promote areas of advancement or development

ETIMY:    “How would you like to be perceived by your clients”

Suzanne:  “I would like to be perceived as a warm, yet challenging coach who cares deeply about the process and often overwhelming experience of change. I know that my unique background and extensive studies in leadership, psychology and personal development offers the client new and various perspectives and benefits the client on many levels. “

ETIMY:    “What makes you good at what you do?”

Suzanne :   “I think that what makes me good at what I do is that my whole life I have struggled with many of the issues I coach on today. I have been through this extensive, all-consuming process of change myself, where my whole world had to fall apart in order for me to be able to put it back together again. Which I have done – but this time I did it on my terms”

ETIMY:    “Whats really fun to do in your job as a Coach?”

Suzanne: “It’s easier to ask what isn’t fun, because there is really nothing. I truly love everything about being a coach, working with individuals as well as teams. I think the most satisfying sessions are those where there has been a clear breakthrough and the client leaves, perhaps a bit vulnerable and tender, but visibly lighter and freer than when they came.

Methods

Suzanne uses a form of coaching called Catalyst Coaching© which combines coaching according to ICF’s core competencies with NLP, Neuro Linquistic Programming, ie. how the language and the words we use affect our behavior.

Suzanne’s main goal is to create awareness about the difference between being a manager and being a leader. The primary task of a leader is to develop more leaders. Besides results, a great leader is therefore also concerned with his employee’s well-being, inspiring them to take control, promoting autonomy and infusing them with a sense of responsibility and accountability, which in turns allows all to flourish.

In addition, The Way Upp® focuses on relevant challenges in the company and creates lasting results through specific goals that integrate the individual, leadership and business.
